Headington School Oxford, is a leading independent boarding and day school situated in the Thames Valley area. It is a thriving, forward-thinking school, which successfully combines academic excellence with a genuine breadth of education for all its 1000 girls aged between 4 and 18. Its educational success relies heavily on the Support Staff's ability to meet ever changing demands to produce high quality, professionally presented, educationally, focused documents.
When Michael Clarkson the Bursar joined Headington School Oxford, he was introduced to Copy Right Systems Ltd. Since then, working together, we have developed a strong business relationship and have advised and developed the School's existing and future document solutions.
The School's primary concern was the need to update their existing copiers to the latest multi-functional systems in line with increasing demands on productivity and quality. In particular, there was a keen awarness of the requirements for high quality colour documentation, which in the past had to be outsourced to maintain a professional image with all the associated outsourcing costs and inconvenience.
Headington School Oxford immediately recognised the benefits of multi-functional devices that provide networking, scanning, and archiving from one source. This has been implemented with great success and has introduced a definite and immediate cost saving, with added benefits of user control and cost management.
Following a detailed review of the reprographic requirements, Nigel Grainger from Copy Right Systems Ltd realised the need to provide the best solution to meet the varying requirements of the school from the extensive range of products available.
As a result, working in close contact with Michael Clarkson, and Anna Clarke in Reprographics, Headington School Oxford, moved to a central reprographics room.
Central Reprographics have now installed three high speed Kyocera 80ppm mono copiers to handle the considerable bulk mono demands, alongside a powerful Kyocera A3 Colour printer. At strategic positions throughout the rest of the School there are several other Kyocera mid volume networked copiers and printers for key departmental use, with the added advantage of the Sharp MX 3501- 35ppm award winning colour machine in the Bursary.
The "success of this arrangement", says Michael Clarkson, "is evident through a measureable increase in user satisfaction at all levels", which has only been possible by properly focusing simple, reliable systems where they are most needed, and that deliver quality at an affordable cost.
